COURSE OVERVIEW

Skyborne’s ATPL Theoretical Knowledge Distance Learning course provides 12-24 months of interactive and supported learning.

Trainees can expect tutor led sessions every second week from our experienced industry instructors, following approximately 12 hours of self-study each week. Our Progressive Continuous Learning methodology, supported by Padpilot provides trainees with the best start to commercial ground training alongside work and family commitments. Breaking down the subjects into manageable modules, including 3 weeks of exam preparation at our Gloucestershire Airport Headquarters and ongoing support from colleagues and instructors through our bespoke learning platform.

REQUIREMENTS

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Before starting the EASA/UKCAA ATPL Theoretical Knowledge Distance Learning course you must:

  • be 18 years of age at time of course commencement
  • hold a valid PPL(A)
  • hold a current EASA/UKCAA Class 1 Medical Certificate
  • be fluent in English and non-native English speakers must achieve a minimum of IELTS 5.5 (academic)

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

You must have at least five GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or equivalent, including Maths, Science and English Language. If applying from outside the UK, please see UK

NARIC for guidance on equivalent academic qualifications. Some airlines may insist on higher qualifications, such as A Levels.

FINANCE

Course fees for ATPL Theoretical Knowledge Distance Learning course is £2,400 inc. VAT.

LOCATION

HOME BASED

Training is predominantly completed through supported self-study, using Padpilot CBT.

GLOUCESTERSHIRE AIRPORT HQ, UK

Three, one-week pre exam training sessions are completed during the course footprint at our purpose-built Gloucestershire Airport training facility.

DURATION

THE COURSE IS COMPLETED IN 84 WEEKS TYPICALLY

COURSE CONTENT

Average of 12 hours per week via distance based learning, with three, one-week, on site, pre examination preparation sessions.

  • Module 1 – AGK, Met, PoF, M&B
  • Module 2 – IN, Nav Gen, AL, Performance
  • Module 3 – FP, HP, RN, OP, CM

KSA objectives are also included as part of each module
