What was the biggest surprise about learning to fly that you never expected before starting your training?<\/strong>
“The biggest surprise for me has been realising that flying is so much more than just controlling an aircraft.<\/p>\n

I thought the technical side would be the hardest part, but I\u2019ve learned that staying calm, managing everything at once, and making the right decision when it matters is what really helps you retain discipline.<\/p>\n

Every flight has taught me a little more about flying, but also about being patient, responsible, and trusting myself.”<\/p>\n

What’s the one skill you\u2019ve developed during your PPL that has changed the way you think or approach challenges outside the cockpit?<\/strong>
“The most important skill I\u2019ve developed during my PPL is discipline. Flying has made me much more structured with my time and more consistent in my daily life. It has also taught me to stay calm when things get stressful, step back, assess the situation, and focus on finding a solution instead of getting overwhelmed. I find myself using that approach outside the cockpit more and more.”<\/p>\n

“Upon arrival, I was a bit nervous to being my flight training for the sole fact that I didn\u2019t know anybody, especially coming from another country! Weeks into my training, I found myself a real friend, Ritisha, who is also part of the IndiGo Cadet Pilot Programme<\/a>. Honestly, I never imagined I\u2019d make such a close friend who was almost ten years younger than me! It started with just a few small conversations, but somehow, we clicked in a way that felt effortless.<\/p>\n

From discussing our flight lessons and sharing what we were learning to helping each other work on our skills, we\u2019ve always pushed each other to become better pilots. I am thankful to Skyborne Airline Academy for the opportunity to not only to be the best pilot I can be, but for the friendships I\u2019ve made along the way!”<\/p>\n
