Together, these programs strengthen Skyborne’s structured training pathway, supporting progression from commercial pilot through to airline readiness.

ATP-CTP is the final stage of pilot training in the U.S. Its addition to Skyborne’s offering supports students’ progression through to Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification within a single, structured environment. This improves consistency through training and aligns preparation with the requirements of airline operations, as demand for experienced commercial pilots continues to grow.

ATP-CTP is a required step toward obtaining an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, preparing pilots to sit the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ATP written exam. The program combines classroom instruction with advanced full flight simulator training, covering key areas including high-altitude operations, automation and multi-crew coordination.

Skyborne has also introduced a new CFI pathway for CPL holders, providing a structured route into flight instruction and professional hour building. The program includes CFI, CFI-Instrument (CFII), and Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) ratings. Designed for both Skyborne graduates and external candidates, the pathway supports commercially licensed pilots looking to elevate their qualifications, gain high-quality instructional experience, and progress toward airline readiness.

Lee Woodward, CEO of Skyborne, says: “Expanding our U.S. offering is about strengthening the full training pathway. With the addition of ATP-CTP, delivered through our approved simulator partners in Miami and Orlando, we are able to support pilots through the critical final phase of preparation for airline operations.

“Together with the new CFI pathway, these programs create a continuous progression chain from commercial pilot to airline readiness, combining structured hour building, instructional experience, and the final academic and simulator training required for ATP certification. It’s why 95% of our graduates go on to airline employment, progressing into roles with carriers around the world.”

The additional programs further strengthen Skyborne’s ability to support airline partners with a consistent pipeline of well-prepared, airline-ready pilots.

First classes begin 8th June and the programs are open to Skyborne students and external candidates who meet FAA eligibility requirements.

For more information on ATP-CTP at Skyborne, visit skyborne.com/us/atp-ctp, and for the CFI pathway, visit skyborne.com/us/cfi-pathway.

Skyborne has expanded its U.S. training offering with the introduction of the Airline Transport Pilot Certification Training Program (ATP-CTP), alongside a new Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) pathway for commercial pilot license (CPL) holders.
