A bit about me:
“Ever since I was a kid, I was always amazed by the aviation industry and especially by airplanes. The final event which hooked me to the aviation field happened when I was about 15 years old, I got to sit in the cockpit of an A320 for the entire approach and landing in Rome, Italy. After that event, I knew – I wanted to fly these planes myself! I didn’t really know at the time if it was even possible for me to become a pilot, but as I grew up I quickly realized that it is actually quite possible.
So far, my relocation from Israel to the US, and the transition into starting my training at Skyborne has been very smooth and comforting. Special thanks to all the kind, professional staff, and friendly students I met upon arriving at the academy.
I came to tour the academy in May of 2021 when the transition from FlightSafety to Skyborne was taking place. What I heard was that Skyborne will be using a very similar training technique and strategy that FlightSafety has been very successful with over the years. The facilities and airplanes looked all very impressive and clean, and it was expected that Skyborne would renovate many of the older looking facilities, which is exactly what happened. Other than that, the maintenance department met and exceeded all of my expectations. The fact that Piper manufacturer sits across from the academy results in the fact that the planes we fly rarely have any issues that prevent a flight from taking place.
Anyone who is considering starting their training and/or just started their training, I would suggest starting/getting it done as soon as you can. The US aviation industry is changing rapidly (for the good), as for pilot hiring, job openings, and of course – salaries which are breaking all time records nowadays.”
