Skyborne Airline Academy Vero Beach has been chosen by leading European ATO Hub’Air to train up to 40 pilots a year at its base in Florida, United States.

Vero Beach, 4th August 2021:

Hub’Air trainees will join Skyborne for their US FAA Part 141 Private Pilot License and Instrument Rating (PPL/IR), building an additional 88 flying hours in the academy’s Piper Warrior aircraft. After completing their PPL/IR, the cadets will return to Luxembourg to complete their ATPL theory, and undergo their FAA-to-EASA licence conversion at Hub’Air’s Avignon facility before graduating with full CPL/IR/MEP/MCC.

Lee Woodward, Chief Executive Officer, Skyborne, says: “Hub’Air is a well-respected EASA pilot training provider and we’re delighted to work together to deliver fair-weather training from our world-class facility in Vero Beach, Florida.

“With news of recent recruitment drives by Ryanair and route expansions by easyJet, we’re confident that European air travel will soon return with some vigour, and Hub’Air graduates will be well-placed to meet the forecast surge in demand for airline pilots.”

Francois Brocart, Chief Executive Officer, Hub’Air, says: “Skyborne has a track record of delivering well-trained, resilient pilots for the world’s leading airlines, so it was a natural step to select its Vero Beach academy to deliver our PPL programme. The quality of teaching, aircraft and facilities mean Hub’air cadets will receive the very best start to their flying careers.”

Skyborne Airline Academy Vero Beach offers approximately 320 flying days every year in the Florida skies. Located on a 30-acre site between Orlando and West Palm Beach, the academy is minutes from the Space Coast and situated within reach of 137 airports state-wide. The first Hub’air trainees will arrive from August 2021.
