Propel flight Academy by delta

The minimum age for the Propel Flight Academy by Delta is 18 years.

210.5 flying hours from zero through the CFI completion.
45.5 Simulator hours.

• You must be a minimum of 18 years old when training begins. 
• You must be able to work in the US. This means proof of citizenship and current passport are required at time of application.
• You must hold a valid U.S driving license. 
• You must be fluent in English.
• You must possess an education level equivalent to a U.S. High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• You must hold a 1st Class Medical prior to application. 

We are currently only accepting full course applicants for Propel Flight Academy by Delta. If you have minimal flight training without a PPL in hand, you are still eligible to apply.

Eligible applicants should have zero or limited experience. Applicants who hold certificates/ratings beyond a Private Pilot Single Engine Land are not eligible.

It is a requirement that you must be able to work in the US and provide proof of citizenship.

There are intakes each month and applicants will be screened according to their availability. For example, if you’re looking to start in 12 months’ time, your application will be screened and then put on hold to progress with the selection process nearer to your available time.

It is a requirement that you have had no felonies, including DUI/DWI in the last 10 years to be eligible for the Propel Flight Academy by Delta.

No, it is not essential however a Graduate of a four-year degree program from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Dept. of Education recognized accrediting organization is preferred.

Preparation is essential to ensure success. It is important that you understand the process ahead by reading the selection process section on the Propel Flight Academy by Delta page. There are practice aptitude platforms online that you can access, as well as thoroughly researching Delta and understanding your motivation to fly for them. The interview is competency based and will require you to discuss previous experiences, in detail so please reflect on suitable examples. Finally, numeracy is an important element of the role so practice in this area is beneficial.

Yes. You will be eligible to be considered for a Qualified Job Offer (QJO) from Delta following successful completion of the Delta interview process prior to course commencement. 

Having successfully completed your PPL training with Skyborne to the necessary standard, you will be eligible for training sponsorship up to the value of $20,000 from Delta. Your training invoice will be amended accordingly for the remainder of your training journey with Skyborne.

Living on site is not required but strongly encouraged for full training immersion and convenient travel between accommodation and training center.

Ground school M-F 8AM-4PM. Flight schedules vary, and students fly 3-5 times a week. Each flight requires 2-3 hours of studying. 

Our main goal is to maintain a 6-1 student to instructor ratio.

Delta has chosen Skyborne as the training facility for their Propel Flight Academy after extensive research vetting flight training operations around the country.

You will be tested on motivation, safety focus, situational awareness, and problem solving throughout the AON exam. The interview will consist of learning about your background, your plan to progress towards your goal of becoming a professional pilot, as well as behavioral and situational based questions.

We have class start dates on the first Monday of each month.

Yes, you can apply as long as you have not had any further flight training beyond the PPL stage, ie Instrument Rating. 

To be eligible you will have to evidence that you have completed your PPL within 70 hours. 

It is a requirement for any current Delta employees to resign from their position if they successfully secure a place on the program.
