We can accept an applications from students who have completed up to Private Pilot Licence (PPL). If you have progressed beyond this phase you are considered to be overqualified for this program, take a look at our FAA 141 program as this may be a more suitable option.
Any one can apply to the Propel Flight Academy by Delta delivered at Skyborne as long as they do not hold, or have commenced training towards any certificates past Private Pilot.
You may apply to both the Propel Flight Academy by Delta and the part 141 program at Skyborne, however we will consider the Delta application as the priority.
It is a requirement that you must be able to work in the US and provide proof of citizenship.

There are intakes each month and applicants will be screened according to their availability. For example, if you’re looking to start in 12 months’ time, your application will be screened and then put on hold to progress with the selection process nearer to your available time.
It is a requirement that you have had no felonies, including DUI/DWI in the last 10 years to be eligible for the Propel Flight Academy by Delta.
No, it is not essential however a Graduate of a four-year degree program from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Dept. of Education recognized accrediting organization is preferred.
Preparation is essential to ensure success. It is important that you understand the process ahead by reading the selection process section on the Propel Flight Academy by Delta page. There are practice aptitude platforms online that you can access, as well as thoroughly researching Delta and understanding your motivation to fly for them. The interview is competency based and will require you to discuss previous experiences, in detail so please reflect on suitable examples. Finally, numeracy is an important element of the role so practice in this area is beneficial.
Employment as an instructor is not guaranteed as it is based on both Skyborne’s staffing needs and student performance during training.
Yes. You will be eligible to be considered for a Conditional Job Offer (CJO) from Delta at PPL completion. If you have met the required training standard, you will be recommended to Delta to undertake their assessment process with a view to achieving the CJO.
Having successfully completed your PPL training with Skyborne to the necessary standard, you will be recommended to Delta to complete their interview process. If successful, you will receive a Conditional Job Offer (CJO) from Delta, as well as training sponsorship to the value of $20,000. Your training invoice will be amended accordingly for the remainder of your training journey with Skyborne.
If you are successful in gaining an employed CFI position with Skyborne, we will sponsor your CFII and MEI ratings.
Our course flow and hours are designed for the average student’s progression. If additional flying hours are required due to student performance, both the student and Skyborne will agree on a specific cost which is then included in an “Additional Training Agreement” format called an ATA.
Living on site is not required but strongly encouraged for full training immersion and convenient travel between accommodation and training center.
There is an inground pool, student lounges, grill-pits, a sand volleyball court and a basketball court. Plenty of events are held around campus including basketball tournaments, bake sales, SOUPer Friday and celebration of holidays for domestic and international students.
Our training program is a carefully structured, Part 141, full-time commitment to obtaining professional licenses and flight experience. A highly flexible part time job is permissible as long as it does not interfere with training, but is not recommended.
It is a requirement for any current Delta employees to resign from their position if they successfully secure a place on the program.
