9 MONTH PARTIAL PATHWAY FLIGHT TRAINING PROGRAM
If you have already obtained your Private Pilot License (PPL), you can skip this part of the course and enter at the Instrument Rating phase of training and join our Partial Pathway FAA 141 program.

FUNDING YOUR FLIGHT TRAINING
Through our funding partners, you can apply for an unsecured loan for the full amount of your training, some of which do NOT require a co-signer.
Course Requirements
You will be required to have achieved the following before you begin your FAA 141 training.
The full FAA 141 program is only for students who have zero flight experience.
The partial pathway is only for students who already hold an FAA Private Pilot License (FAA PPL).
- Education
Applicants must possess an education level equivalent to a U.S. High School diploma or higher. Education not obtained in the U.S. or at an IBO school must be certified as equivalent to a U.S. High School diploma. This can be done through a member of NACES at www.naces.org/members. International education documents must be submitted in English or translated and certified.
For students wishing to join the partial pathway, and who already hold a PPL, you may challenge the Skyborne inhouse mid-term and final exams one week prior to orientation, scoring a minimum grade of 80% on each.
If the challenge exams are not fully passed, ground school attendance will be required.
- CITIZENSHIP
U.S. Passport, Permanent Resident, Green Card. Green Card holders must register with the TSA at fts.tsa.dhs.gov/home/dod. Refer to the TSA Guide for Green Card Holders for assistance. International students are required to hold a valid passport from their home country and apply for an M1 student visa.
- MEDICAL
Valid FAA 1st Class Medical required.
- Age
You must be 18 years of age at time of course commencement.
- Language
You must be fluent in English – both written and spoken. As a guide, you must be proficient enough to achieve ICAO Level 4 or IELTS Level 5.5 (academic).
