You must be at least 18 years old when training begins.
Yes, classes start on the first Monday of every month.
You cannot attend Skyborne with any rating (PPL or more). However, we will accept students with hours towards their PPL without completing their license. You will also need to restart your PPL training with us, as your hours in that course will not transfer. Your previous flight hours will still be valid under total time.
Yes, Skyborne offers financing options through Sallie Mae and Stratus Financial.
Skyborne’s Professional Pilot Pathway is a complete training route designed to take you from little or no flight experience all the way to becoming airline ready. You will earn your Private, Instrument, Commercial, Multi Engine and CFI ratings at Skyborne and many graduates are offered instructor positions upon completion so they can immediately start building paid flight time.
These instructor roles include salary, benefits and full sponsorship for CFII and MEI which cover your advanced instructor training at no added cost. This pathway gives future pilots a clear and structured route to reach the 1500 flight hours required for airline hiring. We will review the screening questions, ask for documents that are required and then each student must pay a registration fee.
Students receive support but if performance is repeatedly below standard after intervention a student may be removed from the program.
No, each Skyborne student is guaranteed an interview but for hiring it depends on performance and staffing needs of the school.
If additional hours are needed an ‘Additional Training Agreement’ is created and those hours are billed separately.

Ground school phase: You will be classroom based, Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm.
Flying phase: You will be required to self-study in between flights. Every flight is prepared in advance.

Yes, we are a FAA Part 145 repair station. We follow a progressive maintenance schedule that gives each aircraft a quarter of annual inspection at 60 flight hours, compared to every 100 flight hours that is instructed by the FAA.
The only way to move through the program faster is to wait for cancellations. Other than that you need to wait for your scheduled time.
According to our syllabus it will be 210.5 flight hours and approximately 45.5 simulator hours, on average students are in between 225 – 240 flight hours.
Not every graduate becomes a CFI at Skyborne, positions are based on performance and needs.
