The IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program with Skyborne offers you an exciting route to the flight deck. With our US FAA-approved course, you will experience an international training experience with Skyborne that incorporates the very best training facilities, fleet and instruction available. On completion, you will receive dual-licences – FAA and DGCA. Having been selected by IndiGo from the start, you will receive support and a Letter of Intent to employ (LOI) from IndiGo Airlines.
Eligibility Requirements
Before you apply, please check that you meet the eligibility criteria below. You will be required to meet the following criteria before you begin your training with Skyborne.

- Education
Applicants must possess an education level of 10+2 with minimum score of 51% / Grade Point 6 / Grade C1 (CBSE) individually in each subject i.e., Physics / Mathematics / English.
- CITIZENSHIP
- Indian National or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) holder
- Eligible to hold a US Visa for the purpose of study at technical school (M1 visa)
- Hold, or be eligible to hold, an Indian passport with unrestricted rights to live and work in India and travel worldwide
- MEDICAL
You must hold a current and valid DGCA Class I Aviation Medical Certificate and obtain a US FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate before you commence your flight training.
- Age
You must be aged 18-35 on the first day of the selection process.
- Language
You must be fluent in English – both written and spoken. As a guide, you must be proficient enough to achieve IELTS level 5.5 minimum, or equivalent English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) test score.
- Background
It is mandatory to complete the following DGCA CPL theory exams - Air Regulations, Meteorology and Navigation, along with the Technical Specific Paper (C172R) and Radio Telephony (RTR) exam, before you commence your flight training. However, if you have not completed these exams, or are in the process of doing so, don’t worry – you are still eligible to apply. If your application is successful and you pass the selection process, we will offer you a place on the training program and allow you time to complete your DGCA CPL theory exams, Technical Specific Paper and Radio Telephony (RTR) Exam, before you begin your flight training.

Overview
This is a full-time, all-inclusive training program structured to give you everything you need as efficiently as possible. As such, our IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program includes :
Teacher led instruction in the classroom at Vero Beach, Florida
The best training possible on our fleet of Piper aircraft and Redbird simulators
Written exam, flight license conversion, in India and a DGCA approved A320 type rating
Books, study guides, and computer-based training modules

You will begin your studies in India, before completing your flight training in Vero Beach, Florida USA over 12 months. One you have achieved your US FAA CPL SEIR, you will then head back to India and complete your DGCA flight conversion. You will then be sent for your final stage, your combined MCC and A320 Type Rating.

Selection Process
If you meet the mandatory education, nationality and age application requirements for the IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program, you can click on the APPLY NOW. If you don’t meet the mandatory education or age application requirements yet, you can click on the REGISTER INTEREST button, so we can send you timely information about the program.
Your application and documents will go through a screening process by our Recruitment Team. Once your application has been verified, you will be invited to take the Skyborne selection process, which is divided into three stages. Please note – you need to be in possession of a DGCA Class 2 medical assessment, at the least, to appear for Stage 1 of the selection process.
There is a non-refundable one-time assessment fee that covers all three stages (providing you are successful at every stage). The selection process will start as soon as the GBP 250 assessment fee has been paid to Skyborne.
Please note all stages are eliminatory rounds.
Stage One: You will be invited to a face-to-face assessment event in Delhi conducted by Skyborne. The assessment will include a variety of aptitude tests, English language and personality questionnaire using the Symbiotics platform.
Stage Two: Group Discussion conducted by IndiGo, in person.
Stage Three: Personal Interview with IndiGo, in person.
Once you clear all three stages, you will be offered a Letter of Intent by IndiGo for a place in the IndiGo Cadet Pilot Program.
