The IndiGo Cadet Pilot Programme with Skyborne provides a direct route to an IndiGo flight deck through our FAA-approved training pathway. Delivered in Vero Beach, Florida, in the United States, you will experience international training that incorporates the very best facilities, fleet and instruction available.
Selected by IndiGo from the outset, cadets receive ongoing support throughout training, along with a Letter of Intent (LOI). Upon successful completion, you will obtain both FAA and DGCA licences.

Eligibility Requirements
You will be required to meet the following criteria before you begin your training with Skyborne.
If you do not meet the mandatory education or age application requirements yet, you can still register your interest by clicking the REGISTER INTEREST button below, so we can send you timely information about the programme.
- Age
You must be aged 18-40 on the first day of the selection process.
- Education
You must possess an education level of 10+2 with minimum score of 51% / Grade Point 6 / Grade C1 (CBSE) individually in each subject i.e., Physics / Mathematics / English.
- CITIZENSHIP
You must be:
- an Indian National or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) holder
- eligible to hold a US Visa for the purpose of study at technical school (M1 visa)
- able to hold, or be eligible to hold, an Indian passport with unrestricted rights to live and work in India and travel worldwide.
- MEDICAL
Before you commence your flight training, you must hold a current and valid DGCA Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate and obtain a US FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
You should have a BMI range of 18 to 25 and no visible tattoos or body piercings.
- Language
You must be fluent in both written and spoken English. As a minimum, you should be able to demonstrate English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.5, or an equivalent score in TOEFL or TOEIC. English language ability will be assessed during Selection.
- Background
It is recommended you complete the following DGCA CPL theory exams before you commence flight training:
- Air Regulations
- Meteorology
- Navigation
- Technical Specific Paper (C172R)
- Radio Telephony (RTR) exam.
If you have not completed these exams, or are currently in the process of doing so, you may still apply.
If your application is successful and you pass selection, it will be mandatory to join classes at the Skyborne Ground School in Delhi to complete your remaining papers at the time of signing the LOI.

Overview
This full-time, training programme is structured to give you everything you need as efficiently as possible and includes:
Teacher led instruction in the classroom for DGCA exams in India and FAA exams in Vero Beach

Written exam, flight licence conversion, in India and a DGCA approved A320 type rating

You will begin your studies in India, before completing your flight training in Vero Beach, Florida, U.S. over 12 months. One you have achieved your US FAA CPL SEIR, you will then head back to India and complete your DGCA flight conversion. You will then be sent for your final stage, your combined MCC and A320 Type Rating.

Selection Process
If you meet the mandatory education, nationality and age application requirements for the IndiGo Cadet Pilot Programme, click REGISTER INTEREST below. We will get in touch with you and send you the application link.
Your application and documents will go through a screening process by our Recruitment Team. Once your application has been verified, you will be invited to take the Skyborne selection process, which is divided into three stages. Please note – you need to be in possession of a DGCA Class 2 medical assessment, at the least, to appear for Stage 1 of the selection process.
There is a non-refundable one-time assessment fee that covers all three stages (providing you are successful at every stage). The selection process will start as soon as the GBP 250 assessment fee has been paid to Skyborne.
Please note all stages are eliminatory rounds:

Stage 1
You will be invited to a face-to-face assessment event in Delhi conducted by Skyborne. The assessment will include a variety of aptitude tests, an English language test and completion of a personality questionnaire using the Symbiotics platform. -
Stage 2
Group discussion conducted by IndiGo, in person. -
Stage 3
Personal interview with IndiGo, in person.
Once you clear all three stages, you will be offered a Letter of Intent (LOI) by IndiGo to secure your place on the IndiGo Cadet Pilot Programme.
