Skyborne, the premier airline training academy, today announced the opening of a new Operations Control Center (OCC) at its base at Vero Beach Regional Airport, designed to improve coordination and oversight of daily flight operations.
The modernized center delivers real-time visibility into weather, flight schedules, and aircraft availability for faster and more proactive decision making. It also comes with a redesigned layout to improve communication and workflow between teams. This will help Skyborne manage growing flight volumes while maintaining high safety and training standards, as industry expectations continue to rise.
Jessica Hutchinson, Chief of Staff, Skyborne, says: “The new Operations Control Center shows our commitment to operating at the highest levels of safety and professionalism. As we scale, we will continue to invest in the facilities and systems needed to support a complex environment as we help our students train like airline pilots from day one.”
The OCC is part of Skyborne’s ongoing investment at Vero Beach, where the academy operates a fleet of more than 60 Piper single- and multi-engine aircraft, as well as four Redbird MCX-E simulators.
Hutchinson adds: “As flight activity increases at Vero Beach, maintaining our standards depends on having the right processes and infrastructure in place. That’s what sets Skyborne apart.”
Skyborne trains pilots at its bases in Vero Beach, Florida, and Gloucestershire and Bournemouth in the UK, supporting a global community of students preparing for careers with leading airlines.
