Who are some people at Skyborne who have made an impact on your experience?
“One person who has had a big impact on my experience at Skyborne is my instructor.
From the beginning, he made me feel that I am built for this, to become a pilot.
What I really appreciate about him is he keeps me motivated all the time. Plus, he loves his job, training the cadets.
One thing that stood out to me was when I was in my early days of training, he used to explain things in a way like I already knew them, somehow as soon as he would begin to instruct. That experience helped me to become a better Private Pilot and will help in my journey to becoming a Commercial Pilot.
I’ll definitely remember his impact during my time here at Skyborne!”
What’s one moment outside the flight deck that you’ll remember from your time here?
“A moment I’ll always remember outside the flight deck will be all the Pancake Breakfasts held on campus! It happens every month or two.
What made it especially memorable is that every cadet, instructor and people who work here will meet up, socialise and have pancakes together.
These small moments are what makes us here feel like family and represents the good vibes of Skyborne. These are the moments I’ll associate with my time at Skyborne.”
What advice would you give another international student preparing to move to the U.S. for training?
“My biggest advice is to build a strict daily routine around your flight preparation and stay mentally ahead of the schedule.
The flight lines at Skyborne move fast, so you must treat every day like a mission. Spend your evenings chair-flying maneuvers in your room, deeply reviewing your flight profiles, and thoroughly visualizing your procedures, so you arrive at the aircraft 100% ready. Most importantly, learn from every flight debrief, leave tough flights behind you, and focus entirely on mastering your next block of training!”
Ansh, thank you for providing us with your insight and experience while training here at Skyborne Airline Academy. We look forward to continue to watch you grow and apply these practices to your flight training!
