Can you tell us about where you currently are in your training?
“I’m currently in stage 2 of my private pilot license course.”
And what inspired you to want to become a pilot?
“My grandfather was a maintenance engineer for the Indian Air Force. Growing up he would tell me stories about pilots like Chuck Yeager and Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon. These stories inspired me to read more and explore documentaries and shows about flying.
Overtime the initial inspiration slowly turned into passion and I decided to pursue aviation as a career.”
So, what has been the most life-changing experience since your training began here at Skyborne?
“Definitely my first solo flight. The feeling of being in complete control of an aircraft was an incredible feeling and fulfilled a lifelong dream.
Although I know I still have a long journey ahead of me, on takeoff I had sort of a “I’ve made it” moment that made all the years of dreaming feel real.”
Ahaan, where do you hope to be in ten years?
“In ten years, I hope to be established as a wide body airline pilot known for my experience and professionalism.”
We can’t wait to catch up in years’ time, Ahaan!
We are sure with your dedication and the self-discipline you’ve exuded during your flight training will take you far! To learn more about Skyborne’s IndiGo Pilot Cadet Program, click HERE!
