What has your experience been like so far since joining IndiGo? Can you tell us what’s been the biggest change from training to airline life?
“Joining IndiGo has been one of the best experiences of my life so far.
From my very first day on the line, I felt welcomed and supported by everyone.
My training at Skyborne gave me the knowledge, and airline life has taught me how to grow with confidence, make good decisions, and enjoy being part of such a professional team.
These first couple of months at IndiGo have only made me more passionate about flying, and I’m so excited to continue learning, complete all my future type trainings, and see where this journey takes me. This is just the beginning, and I truly can’t wait for what’s ahead!”
What surprised you most in your first few weeks on the line?
“I was surprised by how quickly every day becomes a learning experience.
No two flights are exactly the same, and every situation teaches you something new.
I was also surprised to know how everything was well organized and well planned.
The maintenance team, the ATC, all the instructors, the dispatch, fuel team, admin staff, and every single person worked hand in hand to give the student a safe and comfortable flight. Watching this has really motivated me to become a better pilot!”
Looking back, how do you feel Skyborne prepared you for this transition? Were there any specific skills, habits, or training moments that stand out?
“Looking back, Skyborne Airline Academy gave me a really strong foundation. They didn’t just teach me how to fly, they also taught me how to stay calm, especially during bad weather conditions, to keep learning, and work as part of a team.
One of my best flying experiences during training was when I was returning from a flight and ATC cleared me through Class Bravo airspace. It was such an unforgettable moment because I got to see Disney World from above, and the view was absolutely breath-taking.
At the same time, I was surrounded by big airline traffic, so I had to stay completely focused on my altitude, heading, and every instruction from approach. Listening carefully and making professional radio calls gave me a glimpse of what it would feel like to be in an actual airline cockpit. That moment gave me goosebumps and made me even more excited.”
