For Manya Sharma, becoming a commercial pilot has been a childhood dream. Inspired by her love of aviation and traveling, that passion only grew stronger as she got older. Now, after completing the first major milestone of her flight training and earning her Private Pilot License, Manya is one step closer to turning that lifelong dream into a career.

How long have you known that becoming a commercial pilot was something that you wanted to do with your life?
“Becoming a commercial pilot has been a childhood dream of mine. I have always been fascinated by aviation, especially given my love for traveling. As I grew older, that passion only became stronger, and I love it more with every flight.”
How has Skyborne been of support to you in your flight training?
“Skyborne has been incredibly supportive and truly feels like a second home. The instructors are patient and dedicated to teaching, and everyone is always ready to help with any issues.
It has been a very reassuring environment that makes me confident I can successfully complete my training here.”
Now that you’ve completed the first big step in your flight training — obtaining your PPL — how does this moment feel to you?
“Honestly, after all the hard work, determination, and dedication it took to earn my Private Pilot License (PPL), it feels unbelievable and incredibly special to finally have my wings on my uniform. It is a deeply rewarding experience for me.”
For Manya, earning her PPL is more than just completing the first major milestone of her flight training. It represents years of dreaming about a career in aviation and the dedication it has taken to begin turning that dream into reality.
