- Enroll at an approved flight training partner school, such as Skyborne Airline Academy
- Complete and obtain a Private Pilot License (PPL)
- Complete Single-Engine (SE) and Multi-Engine (ME) instrument rating
- Complete commercial type rating

What is the SkyWest Pilot Pathway Program?
The SkyWest Pilot Pathway Program provides a direct route to becoming a SkyWest Airlines pilot. Available exclusively at partner flight schools across the U.S., students on the SkyWest Pilot Pathway Program can apply to SkyWest Airlines after completing the SE and ME stages of training.
Students starting from zero time can complete the full FAA Part 141 program in just 13 months, and only 9 months if they already hold a Private Pilot License (PPL). With access to SkyWest mentors, students will secure a guaranteed interview with SkyWest Airlines upon meeting hiring requirements.
