Whilst training at Skyborne, you will experience a range of aircraft and simulators to bring the theory you learn to life. Single-engine flight training takes place at our fair weather base in Florida, with the multi-engine phase being conducted here in the UK. Find out more about our fleet and simulators below.Â
Our in-house engineering team ensure that all aircraft are fully maintained to optimise your training experience and maximise your flying time!
During your flight training phases in the UK you will have access to the Skyborne fleet of Diamond DA-42s and the Zlin Z 242 L. Optimal training aircraft owing to their performance, stability, handling and ease of operation. Equipped with advanced avionics, G1000 flight instrumentation and Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC).
As part of the Integrated ATPL and PPL courses, you will spend time training in Vero Beach, Florida. Our impressive fleet in the U.S is made up of over 50 Piper single and multi-engine aircraft. The Warriors, Arrows, Seminoles and Pilot 100i’s are maintained to the highest standards by our in-house U.S engineering team under the FAA Part 145 Progressive Maintenance Program.
Your theoretical training will be supported by the use of some of the most advanced flight training devices and equipment available in the industry, including the Boeing Boeing 737 MAX simulator and two Diamond DA-42 simulators. These impressive devices promote safety, efficiency and effectiveness as part of flight training.
Our in-house fleet maintenance team are made up of highly-trained and experienced technicians that ensure all aircraft are maintained to the highest standards, within our immaculate and purpose-built facility at Gloucestershire Airport. They ensure that all aircraft are fully-maintained to optimise your training experience and maximise your flying time!
