Skyborne’s Matt Cox Wins Prestigious ‘Best Flight Instructor’ Award

Skyborne Airline Academy is proud to announce that Matt Cox has been recognised as Best Flight Instructor at the Pilot Careers Live Professional Flight Training Awards 2025.

Matt, an expert Multi-Engine and AUPRT (Advanced Upset Recovery Training) instructor, is widely respected both at Skyborne and within the wider aviation community for his knowledge and approachability.

The judges remarked: “This worthy winner is widely respected for his role as an AUPRT instructor, where he balances technical precision with an approachable teaching style. Cadets consistently describe his lessons as engaging, informative, and enjoyable. His ability to break down key skills into clear, actionable responses ensures that graduates not only understand what to do but also feel confident applying it in real-world scenarios. His supportive and engaging learning environment has made a lasting impact, with cadets describing him as ‘not only an outstanding instructor, but also a fantastic human being.’”

Skyborne celebrates Matt’s recognition and thanks him for his exceptional contribution to shaping the next generation of airline pilots.
