16 Skyborne graduates secure First and Second Officer roles with leading airlines

16 SKYBORNE GRADUATES SECURE FIRST AND SECOND OFFICER ROLES WITH LEADING AIRLINES.

Gloucestershire, UK – 22 September 2022: Skyborne is celebrating the achievements of 16 graduates, who have become First and Second Officers at DHL, Wizz Air, Jet2.com and Eastern Airways.

UKCAA Integrated ATPL graduates, Alisha Jassar, Georgianna Kloos, Billy Payne and Nicholas Smith, as well as UKCAA Modular ATPL graduate Katherine Miller, will embark on careers with DHL. Christopher Coles, Adam Prince, Matthew Langridge, Jake Meilak, Philip Mosscrop, Christopher Ealey and Thomas Pearson are all integrated graduates and have joined Wizz Air, alongside Henry Wallace, modular graduate. James Kirk, an integrated graduate has joined Jet2.com and Bradley Gibbs, an integrated graduate, is with Eastern Airways.

Lee Woodward, CEO, Skyborne, says: “I am immensely proud of every single Skyborne trainee who has graduated from our Gloucestershire Airport training centre. It’s a great achievement and the recent 16 graduates have gone on to be placed with some exceptional airlines.”

Katherine Miller, Skyborne graduate and Second Officer at DHL Air UK, says: “What initially drew me to Skyborne is how the academy focuses on tailoring training to airline standards and this is what really helped with my transition into becoming a Second Officer with DHL. The support I received from Skyborne after graduating was great. I took full advantage of the interview and simulator preparation on offer to me, and this proved instrumental in securing my role at DHL, which I begin in October 2022.”

Woodward adds: “Now more than ever, our industry needs pilots and we need them fast. At Skyborne, we offer a unique educational approach at our world-class facilities in Gloucestershire Airport and Vero Beach, Florida, ensuring our trainees have the best training possible. We have become one of the most trusted airline academies in the industry and we’re determined to inspire a new generation of commercial pilots. We provide equal opportunities for all prospective trainees and offer significant financial help in terms of scholarships and bank funding solutions. There’s no better time than now to begin your commercial pilot training with Skyborne.”

Trainees can now take advantage of Skyborne’s University of West London (UWL) BSc (Hons) degree programme, at no extra cost, for the UKCAA Integrated ATPL programme, combining the degree programme in Aviation Management with Commercial Pilot Training. This will also enable candidates to access student loan funding and receive up to £40,000 towards the cost of training and living expenses. Skyborne is offering £1,000,000 in bursaries for its UKCAA Integrated ATPL programme, for the first 100 eligible trainees who enter training up until the end of 2022.
